Congress state president defeated in Rolpa, Maoist rebels win once more

7 November, Rolpa. Independent candidate Dipendra Kumar has been re-elected in State Assembly 1 of Rolpa. He defeated Amarsingh Pun of the ruling coalition, who can also be the state president of the Nepali Congress.

Dipendra, who rebelled after the CPN Maoist Center didn’t give him a ticket, received 14,927 votes. Amarsingh of Congress received 10 thousand 406 votes.
