8 November, Dhankuta. CPN-UML candidate Rajendra Kumar Rai has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Dhankuta Region No-1.
Rai elected Congress candidate Sunil Bahadur Thapa with a margin of 1,387 votes.
While Rai acquired 30 thousand 101 votes, Thapa acquired 28 thousand 704 votes.
Similarly, impartial candidate Hemraj Bhandari acquired 5 thousand 926 votes, Rashtriya Prajatantra Party’s Kumar Bahadur Thapa acquired 1 thousand 59 votes.
