President Bhandari in Iceland to attend Reykjavík Global Forum – Women Leaders

Kathmandu, November 8

President Bidya Devi Bhandari left Kathmandu on Monday night to attend the Reykjavík Global Forum – Women Leaders in Iceland. President Bhandari is scheduled to obtain an award there.

The occasion to be attended by scores of feminine political leaders from internationally is being held from Tuesday to Thursday. The occasion is co-hosted by Women Political Leaders (WPL), the Government of Iceland, and the Parliament of Iceland.

Initiated in 2018, the discussion board is an annual occasion convening girls leaders throughout the sectors, together with politics, enterprise, civil society, academia, arts and media. It is a platform to deliberate on the very best practices for gender equality, empowerment and girls’s management.

The assembly is awarding President Bhandari with the WPL Trailblazer Award. She can also be anticipated to deal with the occasion.

Vice-President Bidya Devi Bhandari and National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina noticed off the president on the Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says Bhandari will return dwelling on Saturday.
