29 October, Kathmandu. Subba Pramod Pandey, deputy of Foreign Employment Department, Buddhanagar, Kathmandu, has been arrested with 30,000 bribes.
A group deployed from the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Tangal, arrested him from the workplace whereas he was taking bribe from a service recipient.
Pandey demanded a bribe of 30,000 from the service recipient to renew the suspended checking account after the settlement of the international employment offence.
Shyam Prasad Bhandari, spokesperson of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, knowledgeable that Pandey, who was arrested with bribe, is below arrest and additional investigation is underway.
