8 November, Makwanpur. CPN-UML candidate Mahesh Bertaula has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Makwanpur Region No. 2.
Bertaula has determined to journey to the House of Representatives after defeating Khatiwada, the candidate of the ruling coalition, CPN United Socialist Party, by a margin of greater than 4,000 votes.
Out of 86 thousand 31 votes, Bertaula received by getting 34 thousand 916 votes. Khatiwada obtained 30 thousand 396 votes. Khatiwada was elected 4 consecutive occasions in previous elections.
