Kapilavastu. CPN-UML candidate Navraj Lamichhane has been elected in Kapilvastu Region No. 2 State Assembly 1.
He has defeated his nearest rival Vikram Thapa of Nepali Congress by a margin of 582 votes. Lamichhane received 21 thousand 136 votes and Thapa received 20 thousand 614 votes.
Gitendramani Shukla of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party was within the third position by getting 1,092 votes.
