7 November, Jumla. Tekraj Pachai of CPN-UML has been elected from Jumla Pradesh Sabha 2.
Pachhai received after defeating the CPN Unified Socialist candidate Padam Bahadur Rokaya. Rokaya can also be the Minister of Karnali State Government.
According to the Office of the Chief Election Officer, Pachhai was elected by getting 7,827 votes.
Rokaya received 6,715 votes. Nepali Congress chief Dhan Bahadur Basnet, who ran as an unbiased candidate, obtained 4,165 votes.
Who is behind?
Pachai, a resident of Jumla Kankasundari 6, had his political journey via his pupil life.
From 2055 to 2057, he was a member of Amrit Science Campus in Kathmandu, from 2057 to 2060 he was joint secretary and from 2060 to 2062 and from 2062 to 2065 he was the president of Swaviyu University. After shifting from a distant space to Kathmandu and doing pupil politics, he has now grow to be an MP representing the village.
Later, he was a member of the Provincial Committee of the CPN throughout numerous organizations of the celebration and is currently the Provincial Deputy Secretary of the CPN-UML.
