The PSOE of Vilardevós (Ourense) has denounced to the Civil Guard some graffiti with “sexist” and “misogynist” insults towards a socialist councilor.

Several partitions of the Lamardeite social heart appeared final Saturday morning with offensive messages addressed to Elisa Fernández Arratibel, a socialist mayor who was elected within the elections on May 28.

On these partitions you’ll be able to learn messages made with a black spray through which it says, amongst different issues, “basca puta zorra”.

The Vilardevós Socialists have issued a press release condemning this act of vandalism. “The illiberal, the sexist and the undemocratic haven’t any place in our society,” they level out.

They defend that these messages of a “sexist” nature and filled with “hate” are “inadmissible” and hope that the culprits can be dropped at justice and pay for the injury triggered, each to a public constructing and to the longer term socialist councilor and her household.

The socialist candidate for mayor of Vilardevós for the PSdeG-PSOE, Eva Pérez Gamote, affirms that these graffiti come after the 28M vote and after a “clear and respectful marketing campaign on our half”.

Pérez Gamote maintains that these messages “clearly have two parts, on the one hand the political and on the opposite machismo, since it is rather critical harassment towards an individual only for being a lady and a socialist.”

From the PSdeG-PSOE they present all their help for the longer term socialist councillor, in addition to for the Vilardevós socialist group, and hope that the culprits can be dropped at justice.

The PSOE, with three councilors, was the second power with essentially the most votes within the municipality within the final 28M municipal elections.
