The Fuengirola commissioner arrested for bribery, coercion and disclosure of secrets and techniques

The basic commissioner of the National Police in Fuengirola (Málaga), José María Tocornal, has been arrested accused of a number of crimes, amongst them, for omission of the obligation to prosecute crimes, coercion, violation of secrets and techniques with critical injury to the general public trigger, discovery and disclosure of secrets and techniques, in keeping with police sources.

After the switch to the police station, the identical sources have defined that they are going to proceed to their dismissal, the suspension of employment and wage and the opening of a disciplinary file. Tocornal had been accountable for the police station since January 2018.

Wide trajectory

Born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tocornal spent his childhood and youth in Cádiz. In 1983 he entered the Superior Police Corps as an Inspector. He was stationed in Bilbao till 1992, and later in Huelva, the place he labored as a National Police Inspector till his promotion.

Already as Chief Inspector, in 2008 he was appointed head of the Huelva Provincial Citizen Security Brigade and directed, amongst different issues, the investigation of the media-related case of Mari Luz Cortés.
