5 November, Lamjung. Tek Bahadur Gurung of the Nepali Congress has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Manang, a Himalayan district.
Gurung was elected by a margin of 328 votes defeating CPN-UML’s Polden Chopang Gurung. Gurung of Congress has acquired 2 thousand 575 votes. According to the Office of the Chief Election Officer, UML’s Gurung acquired 2,247 votes.
Earlier Munindrajung Gurung of Nepali Congress has been elected in Provincial Assembly ‘A’. Similarly, Rajiv Gurung (Deepak Manange), the independent candidate in State Assembly ‘B’, was unopposed.
In Manang, 71.47 % votes have been solid. According to the report, 4 thousand 845 votes have fallen out of a complete of 6 thousand 779 voters, in keeping with the District Election Office.
