Sita Gurung of Congress received from Tehrathum by defeating Vijay Subba

10 November, Thirteenth. Sita Gurung of the Nepali Congress has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Terhathum.

Gurung was elected by defeating CPN-UML’s Vijay Subba by a margin of 1,079 votes. While Gurung obtained 19 thousand 702 votes, his nearest rival Subba obtained 18 thousand 623 votes.

Gurung was defeated by UML’s Bhawani Khapung by 2 thousand 21 votes within the 2074 election. Subba was elected in 2048 and 2056 elections.

Subba, who grew to become a candidate for the House of Representatives for the third time from the district, was defeated this time.

Kishore Chandra Dulal of CPN-UML received in Provincial Assembly (1) and Durga Prasad Chapagai of CPN-Maoist Center received in Provincial Assembly (2).

The UML, which received the House of Representatives and each Provincial Assemblies within the 2074 consultant and Provincial Assembly elections, this time has received in Provincial Assembly 1 solely by a small margin.

UML, which received 5 municipalities in 2074 native elections within the district, received solely 3 municipalities within the recently concluded 2079 native elections.

41 thousand 180 folks voted within the district with 71 thousand 933 voters.
