Police fired tear fuel at protesters in Paris on Saturday as massive crowds gathered for what’s already the fourth protest towards pension reform.

Earlier this week, French lawmakers launched a heated debate over the pension invoice to extend the minimal retirement age from 62 to 64. It is the flagship laws of the second time period of President Emmanuel Macron.

The authorities has insisted it’s decided to hold ahead Macron’s election promise to reform France’s beneficiant pension system. But sturdy widespread rejection is strengthening efforts by unions and left-wing lawmakers to attempt to block the invoice.
