Revenue raids on garment godowns on suspicion of income evasion

15 November, Kathmandu. The Revenue Investigation Department has raided a garment warehouse in Kathmandu’s New Road space. Sources of the Revenue Investigation Department stated that raids have been carried out on these godowns after receiving data that material and ready-made garments had been smuggled into Kathmandu.

The division stated that on Thursday, three warehouses of Nitesh Impex in New Road have been sealed and the remainder of the investigation is underway.

“The raid was carried out after the data that the material was imported illegally by evading the income,” the division supply stated, “Today, some folks have been sealed in three godowns and arrested. We are finishing up additional investigations.’

The division claims that the unlawful garments introduced into Kathmandu attain ten retail publish places of work from this warehouse.
