9 November, Humla. Ransingh Pariyar of CPN-Maoist Center has been elected as a provincial assembly member from Humla.
Periyar gained by defeating Mangal Bahadur Shahi of Congress, who ran as an independent candidate, by 1851 votes. After this space fell to the Maoists, Shahi rebelled and surrendered.
Pariyar of Maoist acquired 6481 votes whereas Shahi acquired 4630 votes. Similarly, Fadera of UML acquired 2099 votes, Hasta Bahadur Shahi of United Socialist Party acquired 788 votes. Here 332 votes have been invalidated.
