Pokhara Regional International Airport to start calibration flights subsequent week

Kathmandu, November 15

The newly constructed Pokhara Regional International Airport is getting ready for calibration flights subsequent week.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) says the flights will begin coming Monday (November 21) and final till November 27.

The calibration flight is held to check alignment, lights, and gear. After that, take a look at flights are carried out as soon as every part is reported to be useful as required.

Like on the lately inaugurated Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa, a technical workforce from Thailand’s Aerothai is conducting the calibration flights. The firm has already introduced its plane for them, informs CAAN spokesperson Gyanendra Bhul.

Officials hope to launch business flights from the newly constructed airport in January 2023, however there are challenges galore.
