The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has traveled to the ‘Miguel de Cervantes’ base in Marjayoun in Lebanon to satisfy with the Spanish troops collaborating within the UN mission on this nation. In this manner, Sánchez reveals his help for the 17 contingents that Spain has deployed overseas with 3,300 troops.
The president has arrived within the capital, Beirut, accompanied by the Defense Minister, Margarita Robles. Later, they traveled by street to the UN army base, the so-called General Headquarters of the Eastern sector, which is led by Spain and the place there are 650 troopers from our nation deployed.
