Kathmandu. Some of the celebrities who ran as members of the House of Representatives have been defeated within the direct counting of votes.
Singer Komal Oli, who contested from UML for Dang-3, was defeated by Deepak Giri of Congress. Oli bought 29 thousand 32 votes whereas Giri bought 36 thousand 842 votes.
Himesh Pant, a stand-up comedian and artist who contested from the National Independent Party in Dhading-1, was additionally defeated. He bought 12,475 votes. Rajendra Pandey of the United Socialist Party was victorious on this space.
Actress and RP candidate Rekha Thapa is within the third place within the counting of votes in Morang-3 (until 11:30 am). While Rekha bought 9 thousand 939 votes, Sunil Kumar Sharma of Congress is main by getting 43 thousand 165 votes.
On the direct aspect, singer Sanjay Shrestha and artist Site Ba, who ran as impartial candidates in Kathmandu-6, have been defeated.
On the state aspect, filmmakers Dudhay Rose Rana and Madhukumar Shrestha have been elected from Congress and Bed Bahadur Gurung from UML. Rajiv Gurung, the well-known movie producer and sports activities minister of Gandaki province, has been unopposed as a provincial member from Manang.
