Jaspa’s Deepak Karki was elected from Dhanusha-1, Matrika Yadav was defeated

10 November, Janakpurdham. Janata Samajwadi Party’s Deepak Karki has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Dhanusha-1.

Karki was elected after defeating the closest competitor, Deputy Secretary General of CPN Maoist Center, Matrika Yadav, by a margin of 5,048 votes.

Karki bought 27 thousand 431 votes whereas Yadav bought 21 thousand 483 votes. Kishori Sah, the candidate of the Janmat Party, within the third place, bought 14,467 votes. Karki was the candidate of UML Jaspa alliance whereas Yadav was of the ruling alliance.

Earlier, within the 2074 election, Matrika received by defeating Karki.
