Jangilal Rai of Congress was elected to the state meeting from Sarlahi

November 9, Kathmandu. Jangilal Rai from Sarlahi-2 (1) of the Nepali Congress has been elected as a member of the state assembly.

According to the Office of the Chief Election Officer, CPN Maoist Center candidate Sunil Shah was defeated by a margin of about 1,000 votes.

Rai acquired 8,290 votes whereas Sah of the Maoist Center acquired 7,214 votes. Janmat Party candidate Bharat Chaudhary acquired 6,643 votes.
