8 November, Sarlahi. Independent candidate within the House of Representatives from Sarlahi Constituency-4 Dr. Amresh Kumar Singh was elected.
He was elected by defeating his nearest rival Congress candidate Nagendra Kumar Rai by a margin of 1,765 votes.
While Singh acquired 20 thousand 17 votes, his rival Rai acquired solely 18 thousand 252 votes.
Another independent candidate Madhumala Kumari Yadav acquired 14 thousand 622 votes.
