The chief of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has been “dismayed” by the assaults on completely different church buildings in Algeciras which have left a sacristan useless and a number of other injured, whereas he has expressed his condolences to the household of the deceased.
“Dismayed by the assaults dedicated this afternoon in Algeciras. My condolences to the household of the deceased sacristan and my needs for a speedy restoration to the injured,” Feijóo wrote on his official Twitter account.
The assault was perpetrated this Wednesday afternoon by a person who broke into the church of La Palma killing the sacristan with a knife -who died overseas after the attack- and leaving the priest from one other close by church, that of San Isidro, severely wounded.

The attacker has been arrested and is within the custody of the National Police, sources from the Ministry of the Interior have reported. The National Court is investigating this occasion as an alleged terrorist assault.
