Counting of votes suspended in Jhalnath Khanal space for 14 hours

7 November, Ilam. Counting of votes has been stopped for 14 hours in Elama Region No. 1. Counting of votes has been stopped on this space the place former Prime Minister and chief of United Socialist Party Jhalnath Khanal is a candidate.

Counting of votes was stopped at round 8 o’clock final night time after the political events on the ruling coalition boycotted the counting of votes saying that the employees had opened the poll field with out informing them. After the dispute, preparations are being made to carry an all-party assembly.

Mahesh Basnet of CPN-UML has overtaken Khanal on this space. Basnet obtained 10,287 votes whereas Khanal obtained 8,780 votes.
