9 November, Gulmi. Dr. Chandra Bhandari of Nepali Congress has been elected to the House of Representatives of Gulmi Region No. 1.
Bhandari, who grew to become a candidate from the ruling coalition, defeated CPN UML Deputy Secretary General Pradeep Gyawali by a margin of 1,592 votes. The winner has but to be introduced formally. While Bhandari acquired 33 thousand 744 votes, Gyawali acquired 32 thousand 152 votes.
Since 2006, there was an election competitors between these two leaders. In the primary Constituent Assembly election held in 2006, there was competitors between Bhandari and Gyawali. At that point Bhandari was defeated by Gyawali. Gyawali was defeated by Bhandari within the second Constituent Assembly election held in 2007. Bhandari was defeated by Gyawali within the 2074 election.
