Benedict XVI is “very unwell” and Pope Francis asks to hope for him

The Pope has requested to hope for Benedict XVI, 95, whose well being situations are extraordinarily weak, and has identified that “he’s very unwell.”

Francis has thus requested a “particular prayer” for the pope emeritus “who in silence sustains the Church.” “He may be very sick. Let us ask God to consolation him and maintain him in his testimony of affection for the Church till the tip,” the pontiff mentioned through the normal viewers this Wednesday.

Benedict XVI was elected pope on April 19, 2005 after the loss of life of John Paul II. On February 28, 2013, he resigned from the papacy, assuming the title of pope emeritus, with the intention of dedicating himself to prayer and non secular retreat.
