Behind Jhalnath Khanal in Elam-1, forward of Subas Nemwang in 2nd

9 November, Ilam. In Ilam, which has two constituencies, Jhalnath Khanal, the chief of the United Samajwadi Party, has been lagging behind within the No. 1 constituency. CPN-UML candidate Mahesh Basnet is main behind him.

CPN-UML candidate Mahesh Basnet took the lead within the counting of votes, which began after a halt on Thursday night. Basnet bought 11 thousand 394 votes whereas Khanal bought 9 thousand 848 votes.

59 thousand 136 votes have fallen out of 1 lakh 9 thousand 535 voters in Region 1 House of Representatives. Counting of votes is going down in Suryodaya Municipal Hall.

Similarly, UML Vice President Subaschandra Nembang, who can be the Chairman of the Constituent Assembly, has maintained his lead in Region No. 2 of Ilam.

Till the time of making ready this information, Nembang has bought 19 thousand 112 votes, whereas the closest competitor, Dumbar Khadka of Congress, has bought 17 thousand 410 votes.

Fourteen candidates together with two independents are contesting on this area. Out of 115,423 voters, 69,85 votes had been solid.
