The fishing vessel ‘Lajes do Pico’, owned by the Ribeira (A Coruña) shipowner and with the Portuguese flag, has been wrecked within the waters of the Azores, though its crew members have been rescued safely.

According to the Government Delegation, there may be proof of the sinking of a ship with a Spanish crew. The National Maritime Authority of Portugal has not requested Spain’s Maritime Rescue to intervene.
