A jeweler’s proprietor who escaped after defrauding him of 82 lakhs was arrested

1 November, Biratnagar. The police have arrested two folks in Sundarharaincha Municipality-10 of Morang on the cost of defrauding greater than 82 lakhs and absconding.

The police have arrested 42-year-old Raju Vishwakarma and his spouse Kamala Vishwakarma, 38, who’re the homeowners of Kamala Jewelers in Sundararaincha, on the cost of defrauding greater than 82 lakh rupees by forcing widespread folks to save cash of their jewellers.

DSP Deepak Shrestha, the spokesperson of Morang Police, mentioned that the preliminary investigation confirmed that they’d cheated 82 lakh 74 thousand 602 rupees by luring them to present 17 p.c curiosity. After the savers demanded the refund, they closed the store and ran away.

Raju and Kamala, who had been absconding since July 17, had been arrested by a workforce from the District Police Office. According to the preliminary investigation, they’ve cheated 65 folks.
