The Rural Agents of the Generalitat de Catalunya have cordoned off an space of the seaside on the mouth of the Besòs river, in Sant Adrià del Besòs (Barcelona) to guard a nest of Little Plover.
It is a protected species, since to finish its nesting it wants sandy soils, ideally on the seaside, and a close-by fluvial atmosphere, so the optimum areas are restricted, and on the similar time very crowded by people in the course of the breeding season. brood, summer season
