9 November, Butwal. Ashish Kumar Chaudhary of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has been elected to the State Assembly (1) of Rupandehi Representative Assembly Constituency No. 1. He defeated Bishwanath Yadav of the Nepali Congress, the widespread candidate of the ruling coalition, by a margin of three,134 votes. Chaudhary was supported by UML and Jaspa.
While Chaudhary received with 17 thousand 785 votes, Yadav received 14 thousand 651 votes. Saroj Singh Chaudhary of the Citizens’ Liberation Party received 6,143 votes.
