Along with a number of colleagues, Elhadji went up on stage on the Casa de las Artes in Cádiz. Elhadji Medoune was 25 years outdated and was the nationwide president of the scholars in his nation. Thus, from evening to day, this administrator and nationwide president of the scholars left the coast of Senegal one evening in November 2020 mounted on a ship. They had been at sea for ten days, on the eleventh they reached the port in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. “There had been lots of us and we could not transfer,” says Elhadji, who had mobility issues for months, “he may hardly stroll.” Welcomed by the Red Cross, he spent 5 months in Las Palmas till he traveled to Madrid and from there to Cartaya (Huelva) with the Cepaim Foundation.
Despite not talking Spanish, the very first thing she did was enroll in Secondary Education for Adults at IES La Arboleda de Lepe. “During the day he would go to class,” says Elhadji, “however he did not perceive something.” In the afternoon he translated the songs into his language, French. “I did not have a pc, so I translated the courses with my cell after I had protection.”
“She has labored very onerous,” says Ana María, head of research who, along with Inma, one in all her lecturers, have develop into her nice help in terms of finding out. “He has his household very distant and that’s very onerous,” they inform NIUS, which is why they’ve develop into a sort of household for him and as such they’re happy with his award.

His eagerness to check led him to mix a number of formations. In addition to ESO, he has completed a hospitality course and an internship as an administrative assistant. He now desires to get his levels in English and French from the Official School of Languages whereas he research a level in Business Management.
His objective is to take the college entrance examination for individuals over 25 years of age and examine International Relations. Meanwhile she has written a guide of poetry. “The first poem is to thank everybody who has been serving to me,” says Elhadji, who can be an activist who collaborates with actions towards racism and works as a volunteer translator for a similar basis that helped him when he arrived in Spain.
And all this has occurred in simply two years and with none subsidy or scholarship, since administratively he’s nonetheless in Spain in an irregular scenario. However, the administration itself has seen his achievements and has determined to reward him.
